The benchmark index of Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) closed this week at 2135.9 points, compared to 2105.2 points in the previous week, registering an increase of 1.46%.

The average daily trading value over this week, from Sunday, November 16 to Thursday, November 20, reached JOD 5.8 million against JOD 8.4 million in the previous week, plunging by 31.3%.

The total trading value reached JOD 28.8 million, compared to JOD 41.9 million during the previous week, with a total trading volume of 29.8 million shares traded through 15,680 transactions.

Noteworthy, shares of 172 companies were traded, of which 68 rose, 75 declined, and 29 remained unchanged.

The financial index led the trading, reaching JOD 16.1million or 56.1%, followed by the services index with JOD 7.7 million or 26.6%, while the industrial index amounted to JOD 5.0 million or 17.3%.

During the week, the services index, the industrial index, and the financial index soared by 3.05%, 1.72%, and 0.34%respectively.

The top three gainers during the week were Jordan Emirates Insurance Company by 22.58%, The Jordan Cement Factories by 15.00%, and Jordan Petroleum Refinery by 10.28%.

Meanwhile, the top three decliners were Alia-The Royal Jordanian Airlines by 14.06%, Middle East Specialized Cables Company by 13.64%, and Arab Jordanian Insurance Group by 12.00%.
